Canal Walk 2009
The 2009 Lions Charity Canal Walk took place on Sunday 27th September 2009 and, once again, walkers were able to choose to walk from either Sowerby Bridge or Manchester to Todmorden.
As usual, our thanks go out to everyone who took part in the walk and also to St John Ambulance, Raynet and Lions Clubs from nearby districts for all their help and support.
If you would like to tell us about your experiences on the walk, please go to our Guestbook page.
The Laura Crane Trust was the chosen charity for this year's walk and will hopefully benefit substantially when all the sponsor money comes in.
We were very pleased to see the Trust's Chief Organiser, Pam, on the day, if not the Trust's Patron, Catherine Tate!
