Santa Sleigh

Every year, during the last few weeks of December, Santa visits children throughout the streets of Todmorden in his Sleigh, Santa 1.

The sleigh lights glow and Christmas music plays loudly. Hundreds of children come out of their houses to see him.

There are sweeties for all and the Lions also rattle their collecting tins for donations to the Lions Charity Account.

Santa also spends time on the market over the last few weekends before Christmas and lots of young children have their photos taken with him and printed out while they waited. The cost? Just a modest £2.00. Thanks to the market traders & staff for making us welcome and for donations of sweets which we gladly distribute to everyone.

Santa also visited a few school parties around Todmorden in the last week of term, handing out the school's presents and bringing some magic to the children in their early years at school. He'll try to visit your school in 2009 if you ask!
